Do you ever prioritize having a modern or luxurious kitchen you’re your living room or bedroom? I think only few gives importance on decorating and modernizing their kitchen. Since most of the people who live in lofts have busy and fast tracked life, I guess they will choose to decorate their bedrooms more or living rooms than their kitchen.

It seems to me I am just looking on ABC blocks stacked together (I hope you are familiar with this educational blocks). Considering aesthetics, yeah, I will give it a grade of 200% but considering the safety of the tenants behind this, uhmm… I was worried because I don’t know what were the engineering techniques behind this. So I researched and found out the picture below.

Amazing! The architectural designs and strategies were effectively used. I really can’t wait and see the RDL personally!

I really got interested in RDL. I was surprised that there exists a loft like this. I wonder why is this called Reversible Destiny Lofts. As I researched more about RDL, I found out that living here will make people alert and agile. Aside from its striking different colors that will definitely capture and stimulate one’s eye, these lofts are designed to make tenants uncomfortable. Uncomfortable in a positive way that tenant will always be attentive or aware of the details that will make them trip and fall.

Until now, I am still amazed with the concept of RDL. I think it is very exciting to live in here.

The first time I saw the Reversible Destiny Loft, the first question that popped in my head is, where is that? Actually, according to the internet, it is located in Mitaka, Tokyo, Japan. There are also some places where Reversible Destiny Lofts would be built like New Jersey and Paris. The artists, Arakawa and Madeline Gins, keep on eyeing for a location for these lofts. Each loft costs approximately $ 750,000.

How I wish I could live there. I think if I were given a chance to live in this loft, I can live there forever! In just seeing the physical structure or façade of the Reversible Destiny Lofts, it seems life can be even be lighter and happier.

Reversible Destiny Lofts – This is a 9-unit multiple dwelling built and named in memory of Hellen Keller. This structure marked a history in architecture and in human dwelling. This is a very great procedural architecture which really has a great impact or effect in the humans who will be living in this kind of lofts.

I really admire the creative and genius people behind this architecture: Arakawa and Madeline Gins. They were successful in giving diagrammatic form in their decades-long research project The Mechanism of Meaning. For singles, it’s easy for them to design their lofts. They can just use their favorite colors and apply or put something related to their field of interest. There are many ways to express yourself in designing your lofts. But what if you would already have kids around? That’s a different thing. But again, it can still be easy for you to convert your modern lofts into kids’ modern lofts. Aside from various kids’ furniture that can be bought online or in the mall, you can still put kid’s touch simply by putting kid related stuff. Better if you can let your kids design your lofts by themselves. Everything is an art especially when it is done by your loved ones!

Living in your own loft is exciting. For me, my favorite part of owning a place to live in is the designing stage – thinking of where to put this one or that one, which color suits this and that, how to make this and that part beautiful. I am fond of decorating things through my own creative ideas. I want to express myself through the colors seen on every area of my place. It doesn’t need much wisdom or whatsoever. Explore!
